Meet the team

Aless Clarke
Aless graduated from the University of Otago in 2016 and has since gained extensive experience working across a range of physiotherapy clinics. Her clinical interests include sports injury management, workplace injury rehabilitation, performance physiotherapy, biomechanical analysis, and functional movement.
Aless is trained in advanced dry needling, which she integrates alongside rehabilitation programmes and a variety of manual therapy techniques. She is also experienced in teaching Clinical Pilates and regularly incorporates Pilates-based approaches into her treatment plans.
Passionate about helping people move well and achieve their best quality of life, Aless takes a practical and personalised approach to rehabilitation. Outside of work, she enjoys staying active through tennis, squash, badminton, and gym training, as well as spending time training her dogs.

What to expect during your first physiotherapy appointment
Your first appointment is an initial consultation to get as much information as possible about your pain, injury and physiotherapy needs.
Appointments take approximately 30 minutes. If this is your first appointment with APM Physiotherapy Christchurch, please arrive 10 minutes early to complete any paperwork.
If you have more than one injury, please let your physiotherapist know at the start of your first session.
Your physiotherapist will start with an assessment to ensure you get a high-quality, personalised treatment. We focus on giving you the exercises and tools to relieve your pain.
ACC-covered injuries are subsidised. You'll pay a surcharge, and we will lodge a claim for you. For non-ACC injuries, you must pay the full treatment cost.
How much will your therapy cost?
ACC-covered injuries:
- 45 min initial consult – $50
- 30 min follow up – $40
- 45 min follow up – $69
Non-ACC injuries and private appointments:
- 45 min initial consult – $120
- 30 min follow up – $90
- 45 min follow up – $120
- 60 min follow up – $165
We offer both ACC-subsidised and private physiotherapy services. Your physiotherapist can help determine the most suitable appointment type for your needs.
ACC covered injuries are subsidised. You’ll pay a surcharge and we will lodge a claim for you.
For non-ACC injuries you must pay the full treatment cost.
